A 50^th birthday is a wonderful milestone to celebrate in all-encompassing style! Looking back over 50 years of personal achievement and memorable life experiences, this is an occasion to be distinguished surrounded by close family and friends – in an amazing location! For a locally based, but international Camps Bay family, our Event Concepts team began planning a 50^th birthday that would be attended by guests who would fly into Cape Town from all over the world.

Tintswalo Atlantic, a 5-star luxury lodge nestled on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean and located on the extraordinarily picturesque Chapman’s Peak Drive, was the perfect setting to play host to the family as well as the 50th bash.

To complement the unique location, which is surrounded by the distinctive fynbos floral kingdom as well as the Atlantic Ocean, our design team transformed the dining room into a stylish and elegant space by making use of rich colours, textures and a sophisticated assortment of low and tall arrangements. Beautiful shades of turquoise worked brilliantly against the luxurious bronze tablecloths and beach wood chairs. Florals in an assortment of blues and indigos mixed amongst peach coloured roses, white tulips and green foliage added the perfect softness to the tablescapes.

A party isn’t a party without the designer detailed touches that bring it to life! Personalised party flip-flops ensured guests were comfortable during sundowner drinks on the viewing deck and customized stationery, which included wine labels with the 50th design insignia, adorned every place setting. As the host of the 50^th birthday has an incredible longtime love affair with jazz music, acclaimed saxophonist, Rus Nerwich, supplied the perfect dinner entertainment along with his famed jazz quartet. DJ Nate, who hails from Belgium and spends his summers in Cape Town, ensured that guests partied the night away to some of the best musical memories from the past 50 years. The perfect finish to an unforgettable birthday celebration!
