During the 2015 Design Indaba, world-famous blended Scotch whisky brand, Chivas Regal, entrusted an exclusive and intimate “Dine Around Dinner” to the design team from Event Concepts.

A lavish private Bishops Court mansion was the decided location to create a dining experience like no other for a guest list that included VIP attendees and management from Design Indaba, personnel of the international wine and spirits company, Pernod Ricard as well as top business thinkers and entrepreneurs.

Our design team set out to create an innovative concept that would reflect the philosophy of the luxury brand as well as create an overall sophisticated affair with warm and elegant décor. Attention to detail was key along with subtle and creative branding elements. Custom-made table canopies not only served as a striking highlight feature above the tables, but also created the perfect suspension from which to produce warmth and comfort through innovative lighting concepts.

Conceptual and artistic floral features were arranged in rich shades of yellow, burnt orange, red and amber. Warm natural materials such as wood and gold linens featured throughout and the contemporary Ghost chair provided the perfect modern finishing feature. Beautifully designed menus carried through subtle branding and topped each place setting.

A specially produced and decadent 3-course menu was expertly paired with a Chivas Regal Scotch Whisky and ensured that throughout the evening, every sensory touch point was experiences by guests to create a world class dining experience.
