The Mining Indaba is one of South Africa’s most high profile conference occasions, literally drawing thousands of the finest industry and financial minds from across the globe to Cape Town for a week.
As one of the leading financial brands, Merrill Lynch wanted to host a stylish and sophisticated cocktail style event for their top invited guests. The team from Event Concepts stepped in to source a venue with a difference, and then design and manage the occasion.
Located in the heart of Cape Town’s Waterfront district, Mondiall Kitchen and Bar was booked exclusively for this event. A joint venture between acclaimed Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef Peter Tempelhoff and Restaurateur Patrick Symington of Cape Town’s Café Dharma and Asoka fame, Mondiall it is a feast for all senses – and over the summer has become the Mother City’s hottest new dining destination and social hub.
Our design team seamlessly combined subtle branding elements with conceptual floral décor concepts that worked beautifully within the modern Brasserie style setting. The menu saw a pairing of welcome cocktails and deliciously intricate contemporary tapas style snacks. With a prime Waterfront setting and spectacular harbor and Table Mountain views as a backdrop, this cocktail event was a welcomed breakaway from a busy conferencing schedule.
